First off, let me start by apologizing. 2017 was not the best for development as far as WHMCS Guru is concerned, and I can only apologize for that. Certain circumstances prevented updates and development from being undertaken in a timely manner, and, again, I can only apologize for this.
That being said, 2017 is the past, and 2018 is the future. Let’s look forward to what we’ve got coming your way in the new year. I’m very excited about the direction that things will be headed, over the next few months. Here’s a brief outline of where we’re headed, at least over the next few weeks. More to be posted later, as it’s possible
- Public slack (available now)
We’ve created a public slack room for you to enjoy. The link is at the top of every page (see the slack icon), or you can click here to get there.
Please note:
— We do expect courteous and reasonable discussion. If we find that you’re spamming, attacking our product, attacking any staff member, you’ll find yourself immediately blocked. No questions asked, no chance at review. Play nice– This is not to take the place of our support chat (bottom right), this is merely a place for customers to converse with staff publicly, or converse with themselves. - Website overhaul (ETA: January/February 2018)
This is already under development, but may take a bit of time due to how the current site is setup and constructed. We’ll keep you updates as we can on this. As always, we’ll do our best to post updates when this happens so you’re not left in the dark. - Support community and forum upgrade (ETA: January 19, 2018)
The support community / forum is being upgraded to be a bit more robust. We’ll have more on this as it comes up, but so far, the plans are as follows– Feedback site will be removed
There’s no need for a secondary feedback / bug report site. This will be integrated into the community forums— Q/A forum will be placed
We’re in the process of placing a question and answer forum in each product section— Better public downloads
We’ll be using XenForo’s resource manager to handle public downloads. This means that customers and non customers will be able to manage downloads, upload them, provide feedback     on them, etc.— Customer Integration
We’re in the process of developing a XF / WHMCS integration which will provide you the ability to post in private customer forums, access your downloads, etc. - More mods
Of course we’re after bringing you more modules and addons. We’ve had a few ideas that we’re behind in creating, but once we get those made public, we’ll let you know 🙂
Again, I can only apologize about the lack of responsiveness in 2017. Here’s to 2018, making it an awesome year for all of our members!
